Our Lady of the Lake College Library in Baton Rouge reopened yesterday after having been closed all of last week; classes at OLOL College resume today. The Library and College suffered no major damage. Our academic calendar has been updated and can be found via our website, www.ololcollege.edu. Thanks and best wishes to all!

Everything is fine here. No major problems on campus. We opened for five hours on Sunday, September 7, and resumed our regular schedule on Monday, September 8, opening at 7 a.m.

Louisiana College reopens with evening classes on Monday, September 9, 2008. Day classes will resume on Tuesday. Library suffered damage from leaking roof.

Tulane libraries fared well. A couple of glass walls broke in the main library, Howard-Tilton Memorial. Health Sciences Library downtown and Law Library no damage. We reopened Saturday morning, stayed open until 9 last night and will resume regular hours today. Classes resumed today.

Centenary College and the Magale Library reopened Wednesday morning, September 4, at 8:00 am. Centenary College and its two libraries suffered no physical damage from Gustav except one large downed tree and a few limbs on campus due to the wind and rain. Centenary was closed September 1, for Labor Day, and September 2 and 3 because of the predicted amounts of wind and rain expected from Gustav for Northwest Louisiana.

The Blaine S. Kern Library at Our Lady of Holy Cross College reopened today, September 8. The Library was closed from August 30 - September 7. No damages were incurred.

The University of New Orleans reopened on Monday, September 8, but the Earl K. Long Library is temporarily closed due to minor storm damage to ceiling tiles. We hope to reopen tomorrow (September 9), pending progress on remediation work.

The Southeastern Louisiana University campus was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 2 and 3. The Library Director and staff members reported to work on Thursday, September 4, although the Library did not open to the public until Sunday. Classes resumed this morning, and Sims Library is back to its usual hours of operation. There was no damage to the Library.

LSU Libraries reopened today, Monday, September 8. Will close at 9 tonight due to local curfew. For other schedule changes, check library home page under hours.

Saint Joseph Seminary College was closed Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, Sep 1-3. Classes resumed on Thursday, Sep 4 on generator power. Power was restored on Friday, Sep 5.
