Beauregard Parish is still assessing the rural branches but no major damage is expected. Our South Beauregard branch is closed today due to flooded roads in the area making travel unsafe for staff and patrons.

A mandatory evacuation has been issued for July 11, 2019 starting at 6 a.m. for the Eastbank of Plaquemines Parish and from Oakville to Venice on the Westbank until further notice. From the library Facebook page: All Pointe Coupee Parish Schools will be closed Friday, May 10 because of inclement weather and potential flooding. The Pointe Coupee Parish Library will also close for the safety of our employees.
