LSU classes moving online

Classes are canceled the week of March 16-20. Following Spring Break, classes will be held online beginning Monday, March 30, through the end of the Spring semester. Read LSU Interim President Tom Galligan’s full message here  

Rapides Parish Library

The Libuse Branch is closed until further notice.  All other branches are open with curbside services and virtual programs only.      

Beauregard Parish

Beauregard Parish is still assessing the rural branches but no major damage is expected.  Our South Beauregard branch is closed today due to flooded roads in the area making travel unsafe for staff and patrons.

Acadia Parish Library

The Acadia Parish Library sustained no damage.  We are back to our normal hours of operation.

Plaquemines Parish Library

A mandatory evacuation has been issued for July 11, 2019 starting at 6 a.m. for the Eastbank of Plaquemines Parish and from Oakville to Venice on the Westbank until further notice. New Orleans Public Library

All Library locations are temporarily closed and all Library events are canceled today (7/10) due to severe weather and area flooding. We will likely remain closed until the storm passes. UPDATED: NOPL plans to close through the weekend.

Beauregard Parish Library

All is well at BPL after the storms of late last week / over the weekend.

Pointe Coupee Parish Library

From the library Facebook page: All Pointe Coupee Parish Schools will be closed Friday, May 10 because of inclement weather and potential flooding. The Pointe Coupee Parish Library will also close for the safety of our employees.

Morgan City Public Library

The Morgan City Public Library is open.

Cameron Parish Library

The Cameron Parish Library is open.
